Protecting Your Assets Seminar
Jeremy Wilson has been giving seminars throughout his career on the subject of wills, trusts, tax and care planning and powers of attorney. He has lectured to the likes of Age UK, Mencap, various post active retirement associations and the Alzheimer’s Disease Society. He is hosting a regular monthly seminar at Portfield Hall Christchurch BH23 2AQ on the last Friday of every month on the subject of protecting your family assets. The talk covers the following:
- a full explanation as to how Inheritance Tax (IHT) can affect you.
- the issue of long-term care and how your assets are at risk down to a limit of £14,250.
- the ways and means of protecting your capital from IHT and the costs of care.
- The interaction of IHT and Capital Gains Tax when it comes to gifts and the best way of avoiding these taxes.
- He will also explain the crucial importance of setting up Lasting Powers of Attorney.
